It's easy to make flash cards, you just need to know how.
1. Make sure you have a clear space to work in.
Have a well lit working area where you are away from distractions and have all equipment ready.
2. Collect your flash cards and text book.
Mark the pages with the information you need with your page markers and read those pages.
3. Highlight the most important information.
If you can't write in your text book, write notes on a scrap piece of paper. Read over them so they are fresh in your mind.
4. Write short, concise notes.
Write in bright colours and try to use code for key words, like "Reaction Time" could turn into "RT", to make it easier to remember them.
5. Make sure your writing is large, clear and well spaced.
If your writing is small, you will not be able to read it easily and if it's crowded you will have too much to take in at one time. Writing clearly will enable you to read your notes easily.
6. Make diagrams.
By making diagrams and labeling them, you will learn the part of the diagram in case of needing it in an exam.
Note:
- Using colours will bring your eyes to that key word.
- Write the same card over and over again, making the notes more brief, until you have the minimal amount of notes to remember.
REMEMBER:
- Make sure the notes you make are brief.
- Write clearly and well spaced for easy reading.
- Do not use too many colours, 3 - 4 at the most.
